Thailand Travel Tips | Beating the Bangkok Thailand Heat
Bangkok, Thailand is one of the most ideal travel destinations in the world. With scenic beaches, lush forests, and beautiful women, it’s no wonder tourists keep coming back for more. It also helps that the country perennially has sunny weather all year round, so you can visit any time of the year.
But if you come from a country that is relatively cool throughout the year, there’s a chance you’d be overwhelmed by the humidity. So, how do you not let the heat get to you? Here are a few ways:
- Remain hydrated.
- Munch on some snacks.
- Know the address of restaurants and diners beforehand.
- Wear clothes with breathable fabric.
- Apply sunblock.
Try to drink water every chance you get. Bring a bottle (or two) wherever you go so that you don’t get dehydrated. Here’s a trick to keep the water cool: Freeze several bottles of water the night before. Even though the ice would eventually melt, you are still left with relatively cool water. You can also eat food high in water content, such as watermelon and cucumber. If you don’t drink enough water, you might get lightheaded and fatigued. Water also keeps your energy levels. So drink enough water so you have enough stamina throughout your trip. You might even be able to keep up with hot Thai women.
As important as it is to drink water, it’s just as important to eat at the right time of day. There might be times during your trip that you won’t get down to eating a meal. In case this happens, bringing snacks helps quell those hungry pangs a little bit. They don’t have to be bulky snack foods. A few granola bars and trail mix will do until you finally get to have a meal.
To avoid being famished, set your GPS to some nearby restaurants or diners. On top of that, you should also read some of the establishment’s reviews ahead of time so you would know whether it is safe to eat there or not. Drinking and eating on time would keep your energy levels up. This is especially important if there are outgoing activities lined up for your trip. Luckily there are plenty of quality restaurants to choose from in Bangkok city.
Beat the heat by wearing clothes with airy fabric (cotton is the most obvious example). While you’re at it, bring some spare shirts and towels wherever you go so that you don’t get bogged down with sweat. You might not feel entirely refreshed but at least you won’t be sweltering under the hot Bangkok Thailand weather.
Skincare is just as important when you’re traveling. Don’t get sunburned by applying sunblock or sunscreen regularly. The recommended application of sunscreen lotion is every 45 minutes. But if you don’t have the time (or the motivation), then pick long lasting lotions.
With these tips, you can be sure to beat the sweltering heat during your Thailand travel adventure. With a lot less to worry about, you can not only enjoy your trip but also the companionship of a Thai lady.
